Classic Rock Jukebox Musical Rock Of Ages
Its time to dust off your lycra and spandex, because the rock 'n' roll madness of Rock Of Ages is blowing into town with a vengeance. The Tony-nominated rock jukebox musical took Broadway by storm with its killer 80s-inspired score (including classics like Don't Stop Believing and We Built This City), closing in 2015 after 2328 high octane performances.
The story takes place in Hollywood, nearing the end of the indulgent 80s. Party animals flock to the City Of Angels with big dreams and even bigger hair, to see the god-amongst-men glam rocker Stacee Jaxx set the stage on fire at the legendary Bourbon Room, one of the Sunset Strip's last surviving venues. Cleaning its toilets is Drew, himself an aspiring rock god with dreams of being the next big rock and roll thing. When developers threaten to knock the iconic dive down, Drew bands together with his ideal girl Sherri to take the man down.
