Multi-award winner Phil Collins started playing the drums at the age of five, and had a spate as an actor before joining the band Genesis as their drummer, stepping in as the lead singer after Peter Gabriel left in 1975. Collins is one of three artists who has sold over 100 million records as a member as a band and as a solo artist.
