Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella

Why see Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella?

The Sweeping Tale Comes To You

Full of classic charm and memorable songs, take this as your invite to the royal ball as The Shaw stages Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved classic this year. Brimming with old favorites like 'In My Own Little Corner', 'The Prince Is Giving A Ball', 'Ten Minutes Ago', and 'It's Possible', Rodgers and Hammerstein's sweeping tale and winsome music transports us to a magical realm full of balls, glass slippers, and pumpkin carriages as poor Ella struggles to free herself from her family's grasp. With dreamy transformations and eye-dazzling costumes, prepare to be enchanted all over again.

What Is The Story?

Poor Ella leads a miserable life of servitude under her wicked stepmother and unsympathetic stepsisters. Every day, she dreams of something better, of escaping her chores and finding love. When the Prince announces that he is giving a ball to find a bride, Ella sees her ticket out of here, but how will she get there? Que the Fairy Godmother, who turns up just in time to transform Ella from pauper to Princess! However, there's a catch: she must be back home by midnight; otherwise, she'll be in for a nasty shock. But when she leaves her glass slipper, she is sought by the Prince, who will stop at nothing to find the mysterious Cinderella...
